About My LifeMy Journey

Knowledge –

The more you part with, the more you starve for!

Learning is a never ending human exercise. Your hunger for learning keeps on growing with every moment of your very existence.

The day I was born and the time I started understanding the world around me, my quest for knowledge and learning kept going North. However, I had always wanted to learn and spread the knowledge and learning to all around me … not to just confine this treasure within myself.

Born in a family with just enough to survive, there were not much possibilities to pursue my dream in the quest of knowledge. During my senior school years, one day, I found there was no means to pay even my school fee. My world was shattering. Then, I saw a ray of hope. A good friend of mine paid my tuition fee. In return, I assisted him in his studies. I must have been 16 years at that time.

Thus began the journey, rather my journey. It has indeed been a very long, tiresome but a satisfactory journey. I started regularly teaching part-time my classmates, boys and girls in my school and in my neighbourhood. The money I earned went to my parents, though I kept a small portion for myself for my studies and other petty expenses. In subsequent years, during my graduation and post-graduation studies, it became my life pattern. Time to study and learn myself, and time to spread the knowledge and learning to all in quest of guidance … few priviledged and few with lesser virtues.

It is now almost 45 years. Looking up in the sky very often, I feel proud and satisfied. I could see countless stars shining across the horizon who nurtured under my humble guidance. Many of them are now top bureaucrats, teachers, doctors, lawyers, highly successful entrepreneurs and what not. Few of them are even satisfied housewives and mothers as well. Motherhood is as important a role as any other profession.

Infact, now I am attending the wards of my previous students. Their parents say, teaching and guidance by Vijay Sir has been most crucial for them, hence they wish to get the same guidance for their children.

During these years, I have specialized more in FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING. Infact, these days, I am mostly attending financial accounting teaching. I wish to prepare them for the crucial professions like Banking, Insurance, Investments, Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary and similar fields.

Moreover, there are still many underprivileged students seeking knowledge and learning who do not have enough financial resources. For such knowledge seekers, I still attend them without any monetary compensation. Their love, affection and feeling are far more precious.

My biggest treasure in life is the love and affection I keep receiving from all these stars constantly. On each occasion – be it a wedding, anniversary, birthday party, house warming celebration or a casual get-together – I am always an honoured guest. The volume of love and respect shown by the families overwhelmed me. Furthermore, it kept growing. My only wish in life, till I take my last breath, is that I should be able to part with my knowledge and learning to ensure these budding minds to bloom.

My life revolves around these young minds that keep me going. I know, I have the responsibility to share and mould their impressionable minds. I also acknowledge that it is the most important duty I will ever discharge. Today and always, I wish these lovely scholars that are protected under my wings, to grow, blossom, shine always surge ahead in every walk of life. Teachers can change lives with just the right mix of chalk and challenge.

Teaching is the sole means by which we slip, involuntarily, into another skin, another body and another soul.
